pokemon playmat — charizard vmax, not a zone chart

i keep a deck in sleeves and a rigid holder for the card i actually care about. the thing under both of them is the mat. the one i opened is a pokemon playmat, and the title on the live page was "pokemon - charizard vmax - playmat - ultra premium collection." that is charizard vmax. not a mousepad with a sticker, and not a chart of boxes.

i checked asin B0BKK2W4G1 on september 26. in stock. $14.94. ships from amazon, sold by tcgmonster. the returns line said final sale, no returns. if the seller is no longer tcgmonster, or the title drops charizard vmax, close the tab. the review line was 4.5 from 290, and the page said 200+ bought in the past month. i am leaving those numbers as printed. the bullets on that page are short on purpose, so i am not going to invent a longer spec:

a pocket playmat is a wallpaper

serebii's wonder pick page for september 2026 says the event runs september 19 through september 29. english names. wonder pick eight times pays a fennekin playmat, and fennekin and meowstic are the promos. that playmat lives on a phone. it does not take a deck. i am not opening packs in a caption to prove i did the eight. if you wanted a table, a cosmetic in pocket is the wrong prize. the fennekin one ends on the 29th. the charizard vmax one is the mat i would actually put cards on.

the listing does not print zones

search pokemon playmat and the feed is full of mats that say 24 by 14 and print the zones for you. that is a real object. it is not this listing. the us bullets i read do not print a size, and they do not print zones. i am not going to borrow a measurement from a canadian page, a uk shop, or a hobby store. those numbers do not agree, and they were not on the buy box. if you need the boxes drawn on, buy the zone mat and do not pretend this one has them. a different asin is a different mat. the mega charizard x and y ultra pro, asin B0GWFBCF1V, was a warehouse seller with one left and two reviews. i did not use it. the picture here is charizard vmax, cream belly, fire. if that art leaves the title, you are on a different product than the one in this post.

it will not lay flat

the review summary on that page is not a commercial. people like the artwork and the image, and one note says it is good for new players. quality and the price get mixed reviews. the part i am not going to sand off is flatness. customers say the playmat will not lay flat. the summary tagged that on five reviews. a mat that arrives curled is still a mat, and it is also a complaint you should read before you click. i am not going to tell you it hugs the table on minute one. if you need it flat for a local tonight, put weight on it and do not trust me. the art is the reason the reviews stay. the curl is the reason some of them do not.

not the desk pad

a desk pad is for the keyboard. this is for the cards. they can sit in the same room and they are not the same rectangle. sleeves are still the first layer. the card sleeves post is that argument, and a toploader is still for the one card, not for the whole deck. none of those replace the mat under your hands. if the page you land on is a mousepad with no charizard in the title, you searched the right phrase and bought the wrong thing.
